Latte Rush

Latte Rush is a game made for the 2024.2 Brackeys Game Jam.

The jam was super fun! Life got in the way a bit though so we weren't able to finish as much game play and art as we wanted.

About the game

Latte Rush is about making impatient people coffee. Each order you finish the less time you have to complete the next one.

But I've never worked in a cafe! How do I make coffee?

Start by looking at your order ticket:

This one is for a cappuccino, one of the easiest drinks to make.

The bar next to the ingredients shows the proportions of each for the required for the drink. Once you start adding things to your cup it will show here.

The tick means you have the right amount!

Now that you know what to make, pick up your cup by left clicking on it.

You can add coffee to the cup by dragging it to the machine:

Remember! Not all drinks have coffee in them!

Steaming milk

Click your milk jug to pick it up.

To fill up the jug, drag it over what ever type of milk you need and click again.

Drag your now full jug over to the steamer. That bar shows the milk's temperature. It goes green when it is ready to use. 

Watch out, your milk will cool down if you don't use it!

Once your milk is steamed, move it over the top of the cup to pour.

Syrups

If your order needs it, drag it over to the caramel or chai pumps. Click  to add a pump.

Once your drink is complete the order ticket will display "Drink complete".

Pick up your drink and drag it over to the finish drink arrow.
